A Study Of The Hero Of Our Time From The Persperctive Of Ethical Literary Criticism

Mikhail yurevich Lemontov((?),1814-1841),who was honored as“An Unfinished Song" by Gorky,is a famous Russian writer in the 19 century.He wrote lots of classical literatures in his short life.His novel The Hero of Our Time(<(?)>,1840)has attracted much attention of the scholars at home and abroad.The scholars has analyzed the text of The Hero of Our Time in terms of its artistic creation,social and religious significance for a long time,They explored more about the artistic features and realistic significance of the novel.However,they paid little attention to the ethical value and the moral significance of this novel.In addition,the theories of Ethical Literary Criticism,which attracts great attention at present,are mostly used to analyze the European and American literature,however,it's rarely applied to Russian literature.So this paper try to apply Ethical Literary Criticism to the analysis of The Hero of Our Time,it analyzes the complex ethical relations of the novel from the perspective of Ethical Literary Criticism,it highlights the strong sense of responsibility,salvation and humanistic spirit of lemontov,and it explores the ethical significance of the novel,This thesis is divided into three chapters:Introduction,Text Body and Conclusion.As for Introduction,it introduces the domestic and foreign research present situation,it also expounds the research content and innovation of this paper.The Text Body is divided into three parts.As for the first part,it introduces the relevant theories of Ethical Literary Criticism,and it also expounds the existing problems of Ethical Literary Criticism,and finally,it puts forward its own viewpoints.As for the second part,it summarizes the ethical characteristics of the novel,and it also expounds the three ethical conflicts of the leading character in this novel:man and man;man and society,man and self.As for the third part,it mainly digs out the ethical value in terms of ethics and reality,ethics and art,the inheritance and development of ethics.As for conclusion,it mainly summarizes the research content of this paper.In a word,the application of analyzing the text of The Hero of Our Time with the method of criticizing from the perspective of Ethical Literary Criticism is a new expounding of lemontov's literature,which digs out the ethical value of the novel.this method is a new exploration of the novel,which enriches the research methods of literature.Criticizing from the perspective of Ethical Literary Criticism is a new expounding of lemontov's literature,which digs out the ethical value of the novel.This method is a new exploration of the novel,which enriches the research methods of literature.
