During the period of Dali and Zhenyuan in the Mid-Tang China,Liang Su was well-known among the literati for his prose,and he had been a great official in three positions.However,the narrative space in the history of literature and intellectual in the Mid-Tang China was narrow and weak.His Works Liang Buque Ji and Shan Ding Zhi Guan still exist in the world.The manuscripts and block-printed edition of Liang Buque Ji are lost now.It only has hand-copied book with two scrolls handed down,which emerged in the Qing Dynasty and which is kept in Peking University Library and another is in the Harvard-Yenching Library.The two versions are of the same original one that Xiao Yungu manuscripts recensed by Zhao Tan on the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty.The other two are a transcript of Wang Yinquan in the eleventh year of Daoguang by Wang Zilin’s collection which was destroyed during the Cultural Revolution and a handwritten copy of Wang Shoushan’s collection which was originally kept in the Shanghai Library because of the Cultural Revolution,and in recent years,the Shanghai Library has returned it to private collectors(PS,I searched the whereabouts of this edition on the Internet,and found that this edition of transcript had participated in an auction,but it did not seem to be sold in the end).It was a very rough that the transmission of prose collection in Tang Dynasty.Liang Su’s prose still remain more than 100 whether in the Zongji("Wenyuan Yinghua" "[Tang]Wencui(Essence of letters)" "Quantangwen"etc.)or individual collection.At present,the academic research on Liang Su’s intellectual history and his edition of works is still lack of the systematic combing and the elaboration.In view of these,this dissertation(the Research and Collation of Liang Buque Ji Composed by Right Rectifier of Omissions Liang Su in Mid-Tang China)is mainly consists of two parts,one is the research part and the other is the collation part.The contents of the study include as follows:first of all,rely on the concept of narrative history to integrate the main historical materials related to Liang Su and research on the pedigree of Liang Su’s family and changes of official position,the dissertation attempts to rebuild Liang Su’s historical memory of family honor and prominent social status as literati.Secondly,from the perspective of traditional textology,this dissertation traces back to the common ancestor of all the existing editions of Liang Su’s work,and makes textual research on their origin,collection areas and form.And re-discussion on the documentary value of Liang Buque Ji of Qing Dynasty transcript collected by Harvard-Yenching Library.Thirdly,Liang Buque Ji shows a tendency of historicization,which is related to the historical concept of the blending of literature and history in the Tang dynasty.This dissertation attempts to recalibrate and discuss how Liang Su and a group of Literati who were confronted with chaos and turbulent socirty rebuilt and restored the moral and ethical order of the secular society in the Mid-Tang Dynasty.Therefore,we can touch and experience outside social activities and inner spiritual world of Liang Su and his friends.The collation part of this dissertation is collation and annotation of Liang Buque Ji(Liang Su’s individual collection).The collation of Liang Buque Ji is in the form of punctuation,collation,and annotation.The collection of Liang Buque Ji is based on the manuscripts of Xiao Yungu in Qing Jiaqing period collected by Harvard-Yenching Library.The reference materials are mainly Wenyuan Yinghua(Zhonghua Book Company,1966)and the collation notes of Wenyuan Yinghua,a copy of block-printed edition of the Song Dynasty collected by Fu Zengxiang which is kept in the Beijing Library.And Liang Su’s articles in the block-printed edition of "[Tang]Wencui(Essence of letters)" in the Ninth Year of the Southern Song Dynasty(1139)in the Lin ’an prefecture,Shaoxing.The collating material include that Piling Ji(Sibucongkan photocopied the block-printed edition of "Yiyoushengzhai" by Zhao Huaiyu,local records of the Song,Ming and Qing Dynasties,"Fozutongji" "Fozulidaitongzai" and living epitaphs.Some of the results are based on "Tangizhiyi" written by Cen Zhongmian,"Dali Shirenyanjiu" written by Jiangxun,"Liangsu Wenji" was punctuated and proofread by Hu Dajun,Zhang Chunwen.
