On The Ethical Thoughts In The Flood Story

The paper takes the flood story as the research object,and use the Other's theory from Emmanuel Levinas and motif analysis to dissect the ethic connotation in the flood story.The paper shows that the subject should respect the difference and acknowledge the subjectivity of the Other.Building on this,the author come to the conclusion that the flood story include obvious ethic connotation,which is that the subject should be responsible for the Other,and then,the author analyze the implied meaning in the flood story that is the human should develop from closing to opening and from one to multiple.The first part is introduction.In this part,the author first present the selected topic reason,then introduce the main content of the Other's theory from Emmanuel Levinas and the motif analysis,in which the paper shows motif is the way of expression of the Other5then combining it with the Other's theory to analyse the flood story.The second part is animal ethics.The author use the motif of flooding by animals and the motif of animal rescue to demonstrate the idea that human should abandon anthropocentrism,and realize that hutan is also under the gaze of animals,respect vulnerable animals and treat them as the subject who have life consciousness.The third part is hospitality ethics.This part is the focus of the study in this paper,by virtue of the motif of flooding by Thor,the motif of plough is turn over and the motif of hospitality have reward,the author think the old man and stranger are the weak.and meanwhile the inspectors,they decide human's life and death directly,so rather than treat them with verbal or behavioral violence,the subject should open the door and provide them with food and accommodation,and responsible for them.The fourth part is sexual ethics.In this part,by the analysis on sibling marriage motif,the fairy marriage motif and human reproduction motif.the author demonstrate women have their own subjectivity,they can lead man and get them out of loneliness,besides,hey can also break the closed state of the world where without human beings by giving birth,and then present their own openness and unlimitedness.The fifth part is community ethnics.In view of ethnic homogeneity motif,surname homogeneity motif and property sharing motif,the paper shows that the research attention should be paid on peoples rather than homogeneity,every people has their own character and the subject ethnic should not assimilate them.In property sharing motif,the paper further display the limitation of the personal affinity between brother,the building of community ethics should beyond the blood and adopt universal love as the conception,different ethnics should strengthen exchanges and dialogue in this way.
