Research On Connotations And Features Of The Bamboo Culture In Badongyao Mountain,Xinning County,Hunan

Badong Yao Mountain area,located at the junction of the Xuefeng Mountain and the Yuecheng Mountains in the southwest of Xinning County,Hunan Province,is one of the main settlements of the Yao nationality.The unique regional and ethical bamboo culture in Badong Yao Mountain area was nurtured by many elements,to illustrate,the various cultures during the Yao people's long-term migration,the unique geographical and humanistic environment,and so on.For bamboo culture is an important part of the forest culture,this paper integrates and studies some excellent conventions related to bamboo in Badong Yao Mountain area by the concept of"bamboo culture".The objects of the research are the main forms of bamboo culture,such as the bamboo king sacrifice,bamboo root carving mask,bamboo paper-making and bamboo instruments.From the perspective of culture,the paper studies the forms,connotations and features of the Bamboo Culture in Badong Yao Mountain to protect and inherit excellent national and folk traditional culture.First of all,first-hand materials were obtained by field investigation.Then,referring to the existing studies,this paper studies main forms of local bamboo culture comprehensively and systemically,which is for the first time.Based on the theories of culturology,anthropology,folklore and so on,this paper expounds in detail the connotations of Bamboo Culture in Badong Yao Mountain from the perspectives of religious beliefs and folk arts respectively.It reveals the spiritual world of Yao people in Badong area,including their emotions,thoughts,values,and views.The paper concludes that the bamboo culture in Badong Yao area is diversified,unique,penetrated,and ecological by tracing back to the migration history of the Yao nationality,and analyses the causes and evolutions of its formation.Finally,having investigated the endangered situation of the main forms of bamboo culture and local people's knowledge of the culture and willingness of protecting and inheriting,this paper proposes some suggestions to protect the bamboo culture that the endangered bamboo culture can be saved and revitalized by tourism industry,which protects and promotes the intangible cultural heritage.
