A Comparative Study Of Mysterious Color In The Novels Of Chi Zijian And Banana Yoshimoto

Mystery is a kind of human perception and experience of the unknown.In today's society dominated by scientific and rational thinking,the word "mystery" is often covered with derogatory meanings.This thesis uses the method of parallel research to compare the novels of Chi Zijian and Yoshimoto Banana on the basis of textual reading,and analyzes the commonalities and differences between the two writers in the use of mysterious colors.This paper consists of three chapters:The first chapter sorts out and defines the mysterious concept,and explores the reasons for the mystery in Chi Zijian and Yoshimoto Banana's novels.In the first section,the meaning of "mystery" is summarized as follows: Mystery focuses on the human perceptual experience,which is a state in which it is difficult for human beings to use reasonable knowledge or rational thinking to reasonably explain the unknown phenomenon.The "mysterious color" that defines this study is the phenomenon and atmosphere that is intertwined in the works and difficult to grasp with rational thinking.In the second section,from the three aspects of the writer's personal experience,the regional environment of life and the nourishment of folk culture,the reasons for the mysterious color in Chi Zijian and Yoshimoto Banana's novels are discussed.The second chapter compares the similarity between the mysterious colors in Chi Zijian and Yoshimoto Banana's novels.This part consists of three subsections: the first section starts with the character image and compares the images of the “predictors” and “psychics” written by the two writers;the second section starts with the soul image and perceives the concept of the soul of China and Japan.The author gives this image a consolation;the third section discusses the tradition of the use of natural imagery by Chinese and Japanese literature,and discusses the imagery of the moon.The third chapter compares the mysterious differences between Chi Zijian and Yoshimoto Banana's novels.This part discusses the expression of mystery and the practical significance.Judging from the expression of mysterious colors,Chi Zijian often uses the rhetoric to make the novel show the mysterious beauty of the ethereal;Yoshimoto Banana prefers to use the popular language to lead the reader into the literary world and experience the mystery of the martyrdom.From the realistic meaning of mysterious color,Chi Zijian focuses on calling people to regain the awe of nature and provide possibilities for the interweaving of literature and mystery;Yoshimoto Banana treats the current situation of Japanese society and relieves people.The sorrow,while trying to awaken people who are addicted to the unreal world.
