A Lai was born and grew up in the transition zone from the Chengdu plain to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, which doomed him to wander between two languages and cultures, carrying two even richer spiritual experiences.A comprehensive review of A Lai's novels from 1984 to 2018 shows a state of potential change.A Lai's novels can be roughly divided into three stages according to the chronological order: 80 s and 90 s,the first decade of the new century and the second decade. The evolution of the novel is mainly reflected in the theme, that is,from the national identity and the conflict between urban and rural differences,to the suffering of compassion and cultural belief, and to reflect on the relationship between man and nature in modernity.Specifically, there are three important novels,Dust Settled,King Gesar and Mountain Treasures.Their themes and contents have evolved from presenting the living conditions of Tibetan people,to narrated national history and religious myths,to explaining natural ecology and earth ethics. The change of characters is mainly manifested in the male image holding the power of discourse, the female image in the transgender imagination, and the juvenile image growing up in misery and warmth. The changes in narrative techniques are mainly from the background color of poetic narration and the narration of folk culture to the dimension of realism. The reasons for the evolution of A Lai's novels are mainly based on the writers' recognition of multiple identities, their own growth experiences, and the development of Kangba Tibetan region itself. Its changing significance reflects the diversification of A Lai's personal writing style, and he is good at looking at everything with a changing eye. Moreover,he is necessary to disenchantment Tibetan areas through his writing,so as to lead readers into a real Tibetan area and provide a possibility for minority literature creation.
