Interpersonal trust is very important. It is an attribute of social life.In the past, most studies generally examined the impact on trust from the perspective of individual traits of trustees or trusted individuals, and neglected the influence of interpersonal relationships on trust from the perspective of the relationship between trustees and trusted ones.Power and status belong to the important vertical dimension of interpersonal relationship, and can have an important impact on people's cognition and behavior.Driven by this view, this study manipulates power and status in the same experiment, and then observes the influence of power and status on trust behavior. In addition, previous studies have regarded trust and distrust as a continuous unified dimension, and recent research shows that trust and distrust are two independent dimensions.Trust is mainly influenced by both heredity and environment, while distrust is mainly influenced by environment.Based on the above statement, this study sets two experiments to examine the influence of power and status on trust and distrust.Experiment 1 repeated the experiment of the relationship between power and trust through the trust game task, and discussed the influence of power on distrust.Impact.In experiment 2,two dimensions of power and status were operated simultaneously to explore the opposite effect of power and status on trust behaviors, and further verify the influence of power and status on distrust behaviors. In this study, the following conclusions were drawn:(1)Low-power subjects showed higher levels of interpersonal trust in trust games than high-power subjects.(2)Compared with the low-status subjects, the high-status subjects showed a higher level of interpersonal trust in the trust game.(3)The power and status of the participants independently influence their level of interpersonal trust. There is no interaction between the two,and status has no regulating effect on the relationship between power and trust.(4)There is no significant difference in the influence of the power and status of the participants on their distrust behaviors.
