The Discuss Of Tong Zhenzao And Yunnan Society(1907～1929)

Tong Zhenzao(1871-1939),the word Zhong Hua,bom in Huaian,Jiangsu Province,came to Yunnan in Guangxu 33 years(1907),left in 18 years of Republic of China(1929),he lived in Yunnan for more than 20 years.During this period,Tong Zhenzao not only actively participated in political activities,but also carried out extensive academic research,and even participated in education,lectures and other activities,making a certain contribution to the development of Yunnan society.In politically,a series of industrial development proposals were put forward,some of which were implemented to promote the development of Yunnan industry;in education,long-term participation in educational activities has trained a large number of talents;in academically,not only compiling over the compilation of Yunnan’s local chronicles changed the compilation tradition of Yunnan’s local chronicles to a certain extent,and promoted the development of Yunnan’s local chronicles.But also compiled"Yunnan Earthquake Examination" and "Yunnan Local Chronicles Examination" to promote the development of relevant research.However,the current academic research on Tong Zhenzao’s experience in Yunnan is mainly concentrated in the academic field.Therefore,this paper chooses Tong Zhenzao’s experience in Yunnan as the research object,not only makes a comprehensive analysis of its contribution,but also reflects the contribution made by other provinces intellectuals to the development of Yunnan society during the Republic of China.This paper is divided into four parts to sort out the experience of Tong Zhenzao in Yunnan.The first part combs Tong Zhenzao’s life in detail,focusing on his experience of living in Yunnan;the second part introduces Tong Zhenzao’s academic activities and contributions,focusing on his contribution to the academic development of Yunnan by the study of local chronicles and geography;the third part introduces Tong Zhenzao’s political activities and contributions,focusing on his contribution to the industrial development of Yunnan;the fourth part introduces the activities and contributions of Tong Zhenzao’s participation in education,lectures,customs improvement,and focuses on its contribution to the development of education in Yunnan.
