Linear Modeling In Oil Painting Language

Line,as a modeling factor of painting,has its unique artistic expression.At the same time,line is also my focus and interest since I studied painting.Line plays an impofrtant role in both Chinese and Western paintings,especially in modeling.This paper is mainly divided into four parts.The first part elaborates the generation and definition of line,and explains that line is the simplest and most instinctive understanding of human figures.The second part compares and analyses the representative paintings of online application and performance effect in different periods of China and the West,and expounds the re-understanding of linear modeling in modern western painting,so as to further demonstrate the importance of lines in the picture.The third part combines my paintings to specifically analyze the impact of the linear modeling language of oil painting on my graduation creation,as well as the emotions and ideas I want to express through the linear modeling.Finally,it is concluded that learning and studying linear modeling in oil painting can open up new perspectives in observing and understanding things and form our own unique painting formal language.Modernist exploration of oil painting mostly shows planarity and form self-discipline.Studying linear modeling of oil painting can not only improve the artistic appeal of our oil painting works,but also have the possibility and practical significance of combining linear modeling of Chinese and Western painting.
