Hanyu is an outstanding person in contemporary Chinese art.His paintings show a different style from those of contemporary painters.His artistic achievements show diversity.In addition to the numerous and widely circulated paintings,he also created a large number of literary works,especially his artistic discourses.At the same time,he is also a critic and cartoonist.He created ink paintings with distinctive personality and exerted the painting style of "Earth and Ocean"(Huangmiaozi)to the extreme.Hanyu’s life spans the period of the Republic of China,the founding of New China,and the reform and opening up of today.Under this special cultural background,Chinese native paintings are influenced by Western paintings and domestic political factors.It is a difficult process to carry out artistic exploration in such an artistic context.This is actually a kind of "creative transformation".From the perspective of art creation theory,it includes both traditional innovation and reflection on modern art.Pan Tianshou said:"Between the unified system and the unified system,we can draw on each other’s strengths,but we must not have principles.This inspired art creators to balance the absorption and selection of different systems of art,otherwise they will lose their unique style.The current academic research on Hanyu is more common in various commentary articles,and there are few related academic papers.Only a few articles mainly discuss the ink and ink drama figure paintings,and the scope is limited to individual works.There are few research papers on comics,illustrations,and sketches.Based on this,this paper intends to make a comprehensive and systematic study of Hanyu’s paintings,in order to reveal the contemporary value of his paintings with inheritance,modernity and nationality,and to summarize the characteristics and causes of his paintings.The uniqueness and academic significance of his creation are further demonstrated.Therefore,this topic should have a certain academic value and is expected to be used as a guide to make Hanyu’s painting more widely concerned by the academic community.
