The writing of suffering follows almost every step of literary evolution.In China,a country with such abundant narrative resources of suffering,suffering narrative literature presents itself in the history of literature from different perspectives of politics,economy and life.The contemporary Chinese literature suffering narration mostly carries on the revolutionary historical subject writing from the political-economic angle of view.As the evidence of the old times’ social tragedy and the eulogizes of the new times,suffering narrative has the historical logic expression which "recalls the bitterness to think sweetly".At the beginning of the new period,"scar","reflection" and other literature used criticism and accusation to express the writing subject’s suffering,pointing the criticism at the "Gang of Four" and the special historical period.At this time,literary description still reflects on history from a political perspective and becomes a new exploration process in the development of contemporary Chinese society.This kind of suffering narration is still presented as a historical--political perspective,focusing on social,political and historical logic thinking.In the 1980 s onwards,from "root-searching literature" and "new realism literature" and "new historical novel",the sufferings of the contemporary literature narrative changed some sort of perspective which transformed gradually from history-the political perspective to the sufferings of humanity own existence,and added the logical thinking of human nature to the history and political logic.The writer or intervene strongly to the real life,or "turn inward" insight into the spiritual world.To sum up,since the mid-late 1980 s,the collective narration of literary suffering has shown a trend of diversification and extreme,which makes the suffering to be displayed to the greatest extent.On the one hand,it shows the depth of the writers’ thinking on life and human nature;on the other hand,it also reveals the tension and anxiety between the writers and the reality.This paper chooses the suffering narrations of the writer Mo Yan and Yan Lianke as the research object for two reasons.On the one hand,the educational world has already pushed the macroscopic phenomena of suffering narrative review and author individual microcosmic research to a certain degree,however,different writers and their writings’ horizontal and vertical comparative study is relatively lack.At the same time,the uniqueness from horizontal convergence comparison between the writers and the the inheritance and transcendence from longitudinal comparison have been overlooked.Mo Yan and YanLianke are the masters and leading figures of the tide of writing about suffering in this period.This paper chooses these two representative writers to make a horizontal comparison,hoping to understand the differences and commonalities among different writers on the basis of the macro understanding of the tide of misery narration.The method of comparative study can not only further highlight the uniqueness of individual writers,but also look into the richness and complexity of the macro literary phenomena,so as to deepen the understanding of the upsurge of misery narration.On the other hand,apart from the similar subject experience,MoYan and Yan Lianke also share certain similarities in literary temperament.Similar to the intuitive feeling of reading LuXun’s writings,reading Mo Yan and Yan Lianke’s novels gives people the feeling of creepy,trembling,magic and psychedelic.The sense of life contained in their works and the thinking of human existence give their writings unique depth and charm.It is this commonness that makes the two writers comparable.Based on this,this paper hopes to sort out the misery narration written by Mo and Yan in the form of fragments scattered in different works through the comparison between them,so as to grasp their similarities and differences to a certain extent.The master is not to make a binary opposition on vertical comparison,but to realize the prerequisite that the creations of the two writers are all contained in the "misery narration" macro organisms,thinking the different aspects showed in the same contradiction-“misery narration”,while highlighting theiruniqueness and not to ignore the similarities of the spiritual world as the expense;At the same time,the author will try to reflect on and evaluate the aesthetic value and social value of the writings of suffering in the comparison,so as to achieve a certain purpose of reading judgment and understanding correction of deviations by thinking about the gains and losses of the writings.In the process of the constructing the article,on the basis of finding the commonalities and differences in the aspects of content and artistic skill between the two writers’ writings,the author will make a summarization to the two writers.On one hand,the author will try to locate and evaluate the save paths the two writers put forward,on the other hand,the author will try to set civilian positions and tragic aesthetics as the judgment standard,in order to make a reflection and evaluation both to the social value and the aesthetic of the two writers’ suffering writing.
