Jurgen· Habermas is an outstanding representative of the Frankfurt School and the leader of the third generation of Western Marxism. He absorbed the results of the early Frankfurt School of Thought, which made his thoughts broader and his theory more profound, thus demonstrating his ideological power of critical social theory in a broader theoretical perspective.Habermas' s highest definition of critical social theory is the theory of social evolution, the reconstruction of historical materialism. The so-called "reconstruction" refers to the division of the entire historical materialism theory, and then organically separate it and combine it with a new form suitable for analyzing late capitalist society, thus forming a new theoretical system to realize the human society. The guiding role of development. In Habermas' s view, for the historical materialism theory created by Marx with infinite vitality, his own reconstruction work only modifies certain aspects of his theoretical system according to the needs of social reality development.Habermas was the first philosopher who explicitly proposed the theoretical reconstruction of historical materialism. His starting point was to solve the problems existing in the current social environment and restore the guiding role of historical materialism, but Habermas proposed The theory of reconstruction is essentially a substitute for historical materialism, because he abandons the theoretical basis and realistic basis of historical materialism, replaces "social labor" with "communicative action",and replaces "learning mechanism" with the power of social development."The mechanism of productivity and production relations" is undoubtedly the attitude and mode of adopting non-historical materialism. His ultimate goal is to replace historical materialism with his theory of communicative action. This paper has studied the following questions:First,Habermas reconstructs the realistic conditions and theoretical foundations of historical materialism.Based on the analysis of the social reality of late capitalism and the dilemma of historical materialism, combined with the early Frankfurt School thinkers' exploration of historical materialism,it shows that Habermas' s historical materialism reconstruction theory is in social reality. The combination of challenges and theoretical accumulation is generated under the influence and influence.Second,it clarifies Habermas' s understanding of Marx's historical materialism and its main content of the theory of historical materialism.Habermas believes that historical materialism is mainly used to explain social movements and class conflicts, and it is impossible to fully explain social evolution and thus has its limitations. This obviously has a misunderstanding of historical materialism.By comparing and analyzing the basic concepts of Marx's historical materialism and Habermas reconstruction theory, this paper summarizes Habermas' s theoretical definition and conceptual adjustment of historical materialism, and sorts out the content and logic of its theory. How Habermas used the theory of communicative rationality to reinterpret historical materialism.Through the systematic analysis of Habermas reconstruction theory, revealing the essence of its reconstruction theory is a substitute for historical materialism.Third, guided by the scientific theory of Marxist historical materialism, objectively evaluate Habermas' s theoretical content of reconstructing historical materialism and form a general understanding of its theory.Through the analysis of these questions,we hope to have a relatively complete understanding of Habermas' s reconstruction theory, and provide new theoretical exploration results for us to further understand Habermas' s thought.
