On The Construction Of Symbolic Language In Contemporary Printmaking Art

Contemporary art has emerged in Europe and the United States.With the globalization of the economy,it has become a concept of multiculturalism.Although the art language of contemporary art is complex and the art forms are diverse,in general,the contemporary art represents the artist himself.In his creation,the artist pursues the transmission of inner emotions and spiritual world and begins to show different emotions.Construct artistic language with unique personality.Therefore,artists pay more attention to the presentation of the connotation in their works,and usually use the more obscure artistic language to express their own emotional implications.The transformation of artists ’creative ideas prompted them to explore new artistic expressions,establish a new aesthetic system,and build a new artistic language form,"symbolic language."Symbolic language is embodied in all art categories,but the symbolic language used by artists in different art categories is very different.The symbolic language in print art is not the same as the safety signs and traffic signs in life.It uses a concise and clear structure to clearly express the main meaning,but implies the artist’s aesthetic interest and unique thoughts through hidden symbols.The viewer can recognize the individual pattern and unique artistic language of the artist by recognizing the symbol of the work.The application of these symbolic languages shows the artist’s individual artistic language more intuitively,conveys the artist’s aesthetic interest,and allows the viewer to interpret the artist more intuitively and clearly.Symbolic language is an important part of contemporary printmaking language.Its development has promoted the diversified presentation of contemporary printmaking art forms,and also made contemporary printmaking art more inclusive.This paper expounds the influence of the application of "symbolic language" in contemporary printmaking on the construction of contemporary printmaking language.Firstly,we interpret the word "contemporary" and analyze semiotics to determine the rationality of constructingsymbolic language in contemporary prints.This article not only demonstrates the importance of symbolic language from the sources and meanings of symbolic language,but also confirms its existence value by analyzing the symbolic language in the artist’s printmaking works.Contemporary print artists create their own symbolic language through the extraction of typical elements of real life,and present realistic themes in their works of art.The symbolic language construction of contemporary print artists is a combination of historical and cultural background,characteristics of the times and many other factors to explore the significance of art symbols in contemporary society.
