A Study Of Ritual Divine Painting In Fuwang Town Of Pubei County In Guangxi Province

The ritual divine painting is a type of painting that people draw down the gods that they believe in and use them in religious ceremonies.And it symbolizes the presence of the gods in the ceremonies and as an interpreter and guide to the ritual.The study of the painting helps to understand people's cosmology,psychology and behavior patterns.This paper takes the divine paintings in Fuwang Town of Pubei County in Guangxi as the study object,from the perspective of functional theory and symbolic theory of ethnology and anthropology,by using field investigation method,image method and literature method to discuss the production process,subject matter content and related religious rituals of the divine painting,to study the function and symbol of it.This study further discusses the function of religious cultural and social integration of ritual deity painting,and then explains that Fuwang ritual deity painting symbolizes gods in ritual.As an important carrier of the belief of the Fuwang people,the ritual divine painting is mainly collected and applied in the belief ceremony by the daogong institute.Therefore,exploring the ritual god painting is conducive to understanding the belief world of the Fuwang people from the perspective of painting.The ritual god painting reflects the characteristics of diversified local beliefs.By through ritual deities is complementary to local social.With the develop of social economy,people's faith is gradually weakened,the is not only meeting fuwang people's psychological needs,but also can show their economic strength by holding ceremony activities.
