“Rock color painting ”has a long history since ancient times.It is both traditional and modern,eastern and western.Because of its unique material enchantment,it is deeply rooted in the hearts and minds of the people,and there is also a profound age and cultural spirit under the shiny material appearance of this traditional oriental painting.It uses a new artistic concept and different choreographic ways to create a new visual aesthetic space.This paper mainly analyzes and interprets the East-West painting with the combination of visual thinking and the author’s creation of rock color painting.The paper is divided into three chapters.The first chapter expounds the natural way of art from the perspective of visual thinking to describe the three different stages that the painter has experienced in the creative process.;The second chapter analyzes the classical paintings in China and the West to confirm the three stages of creation that has been described in the previous chapter.The third chapter elaborates the personal creative practice,analyzes the application of visual thinking in the creation of rock color painting,and probes into the process and method of objective nature from concrete to abstract extraction in the process of creation.
