Today,Intercultural Communication exchanges are becoming more and more frequent.The stage of Chinese opera is more and more diversified.The adaptation of the Western dramas to cross-culture,cross-play,and cross-art adaptation has become one of the trends of the Chinese opera stage.It is also the modern opera attracting the audience.An innovative way.The adaptation of cross-cultural operas is a form of re-editing as a form of "drama" based on foreign dramas.In recent years,cross-cultural opera adaptations have become more and more diversified often inject Western culture into the “Chinese-style” cultural background,making the plot popular and regional,reshaping the characters and increasing the theme of the drama,and the meaning of the works from the middle to the modern society.All along,the "The Inspector General" has been frequently rewritten,interpreted,imitated,and adapted.The adaptation of Western dramas must first deal with the issue of “cross-cultural and inter-temporal”.The editors have “Chinese Characteristics” the drama on the premise of respecting the original context.In 1996,the "King of the Prime Minister" was adapted into the Taiwan opera version of the "Admiration Minister";in 2003,it was reorganized into the Quanzhou Puppet Edition "The Minister of Imperialism." The adaptation of the opera is based on the original drama,and the art form is re-created,making the western drama appear on the stage of Chinese opera.Whether it is the drama structure or the shaping of the character image,it is more in line with the drama aesthetics of the Chinese audience.The distance from the Chinese audience.The adaptation of cross-cultural operas has promoted the study of Chinese operas to Western dramas and also increased the communication between different cultures.It has become one of the research directions of scholars.This article mainly uses the comparative analysis and text perusal to discuss the adaptation of the opera of Gogol’s "The Inspector General".The main contents are as follows:The first chapter begins with the cultural background,analyzes the "localization" of the cultural background of the intercultural adaptation of the "Chancer Minister",the transformation of the target culture,and the transformation of the language art,time and space" processing.The second chapter begins with the character image,discusses the reinterpretation of the characters of the imperial minister and the treatment of the flat characters,and analyzes the differences and innovations in the adaptation of the characters in the opera version compared with the original drama.The third chapter begins with the stage performances,and analyzes the stage of the opera from the form of performance,the art of modeling,the design of music and the innovation of the program,and discusses the inheritance and innovation of the adaptation of the opera in the stage presentation.The fourth chapter starts from the text and analyzes the gains and losses of the cross-cultural adaptation of the opera "The Inspector General" from different angles.The adaptation of cross-cultural operas has increased the way of communication for the drama itself,so that more audiences can understand the spirit and ideological connotation of Gogol’s play.For the opera,Chinese traditional art has moved to the international stage.On the one hand,it has increased the understanding of foreign audiences on the long history and superb skills of Chinese opera and the understanding of Chinese traditional culture.On the other hand,it promotes the development of opera in China.It has caused more people to inherit and protect the art of opera.
