Comparative Study Of Freezing Point Principle In Hemingway And Bi Shumin's Creation

Hemingway is one of the most influential(the world-class influential)writers in the world of the 20 th century.He is a representative writer of the "lost generation" in America.He proposed the famous "iceberg principle" and was the winner of the Nobel Prize for literature in 1954.Bi Shumin is a famous contemporary Chinese writer and a first-class national writer.With her debut novel Kunlun War,she stepped into the literary world.Bi Shumin integrates her rich life experience into her works,showing her persistent concern for life consciousness.Under "freezing point principle",the two writers created calm and objective literary works which were different from the normal temperature writers.They kept exploring the issues of survival and death,and pursued the unalloyed value of life.Based on the extraordinary experiences of Hemingway and Bi Shumin,this paper analyzes their works and creative techniques through the "freezing point principle".There are four parts of this thesis:The first part: Firstly,this part defines the "freezing point principle" and determine what is called "freezing point principle".Then,based on the creation of the "freezing point principle" in the works of Hemingway and Bi Shumin,this paper analyzes the causes of their creation of the "freezing point principle",which is made of three aspects: their family backgrounds and life experience,the common love for travel,and the influence of Hemingway on Bi Shumin.The second part: A comparison of "freezing point principle" which are proved in Bi Shumin and Hemingway's novels.This part discusses how these two writers show the “freezing point principle” in their own works.It will mainly discuss under two perspectives: the characters of "freezing point principle" comparison and pessimistic awareness of "freezing point principle" comparison.There will be a deeper understanding of these two writers' creation by using "freezing point principle".The third part: This part starts from the creation characteristics of "freezing point principle",analyzes the calm and objective description reflected in the creation under normal temperature,as well as the authenticity highlighted in the creation under low temperature.The fourth part: This part discusses the hot spots of "freezing point principle",which means the light and warmth inside the "freezing point principle".There are two aspects of this part: facing and transcending death,to seek for the value of life,to grasp the depth of the human dignity,as well as the humanities shown in the works.Through the work of "light and warm" to feel the two writers' flesh and blood of life,a life of human nature,a life which can touch the temperature of the perceived.Literature has its own temperature.The author's life experience,family background,language description and other factors will make literary works produce different temperatures.Under different temperatures,the appeal,shock,distance from readers and social significance of the works are all different.This article chooses the temperature Angle,analyzes two people under the ordinary temperature individuality creation.
