In the context of Sino-foreign porcelain trade and cultural exchanges in Ming and Qing Dynasties,this paper started with the basic concepts of Chinese heraldic porcelain exported to Europe and America,explored its artistic design,and made detailed discussion from three parts of what is heraldry and heraldic porcelain,the shape of Chinese exported heraldic porcelain,and the ornamentation of Chinese exported heraldic porcelain.?.IntroductionMost of Chinese exported heraldic porcelain is sold abroad,and only a small part remains in China.This paper sorted out the research results and overview of Chinese exported heraldic porcelain at home and abroad.The research focuses are different,but they can complement each other.It is found that the question of how to design exported heraldic porcelain is a key point in such researches.Therefore,this paper mainly introduced and discussed problems in this area.?.The introduction of heraldry and heraldic porcelainFirst of all,the origin and evolution of western heraldry have its own specific time background,which can be traced back to the 12 th century.At the same time,the birth and development of heraldic porcelain also have its own specific conditions,under dual influences of European heraldic culture and Chinese porcelain production design.Therefore,the author reveals its specific historical background and shows its development context.Secondly,the use of heraldry follows a set of rules,which have strict provisions on the composition,color and escutcheon partition.The third chapter mainly introduced the rules of heraldic usage from the perspective of heraldry.Finally,in the fourth chapter,this paper focused on the trade activities in the golden period of Sino-foreign porcelain trade and cultural exchanges,and then discussed issues related to the exported heraldic porcelain from the aspects of ordering place,trade cycle and mode of heraldic porcelain exported to Europe and the United States.?.Research on the shape of Chinese exported porcelainFirst of all,the author divided the Chinese heraldic porcelain exported to Europe and the United States in Ming and Qing Dynasties into decorative ware and household ware according to the categories,and then listed these two types of wares.The decorative wares are roughly classified into flower receptacles,bottles,and aromatherapy,while the household wares is roughly divided into tableware,tea sets,coffee sets,wine sets and other household appliances.Secondly,the paper discussed the main factors affecting the shape of Chinese exported heraldic porcelain,which can be attributed to social culture and lifestyle.Finally,the research analyzed the evolution and characteristics of the shape of Chinese exported heraldic porcelain.?.Research on the ornamentation of Chinese exported heraldic porcelainFirst of all,the author divided the main ornamentation of the exported heraldic porcelain into theme ornamentation(fancy)and side ornamentation(pattern),and expounded connotation and significance of different ornamentation.Secondly,this paper discussed the main factors affecting Chinese exported heraldic porcelain ornamentation,which can be summarized as political factors and production process factors.Among them,the political factors have significant influence on the heraldic ornamentation.The author conducted a special study on the heraldic culture from Britain and France,and then discussed the influence of changes of the national political factors on the heraldic ornamentation.Finally,after analyzing the main factors affecting Chinese exported heraldic porcelain ornamentation,the author explored in detail the evolution and characteristics of Chinese exported heraldic porcelain ornamentation.
