Teaching with Attention covers a range of topics from classroom environment establishment to teaching process,as well as evaluation.It aims to help teachers develop their own beliefs,improving teaching efficiency and realizing their value.This report is based on the translation of Teaching with Intention.During the translation,the author spots lot of translationese.After deep analysis in chapter four,he finds that poor understanding of the source language and inappropriate expression of the target language are the result of translationese.The author tries to eliminate translationese from aspects of designative meaning,associative meaning,the propositional structure,the axial structure and the restrictive structure.The author wants to discuss how to reduce it under the idea of functional equivalence by abandoning parts of speech,using the kernel sentence,and changing the sentence order to make the target text smooth and natural in chapter five.Through this translation practice,the author summarizes the translation methods and principles in order to provide references for the future translation of similar texts.
