The Study On The Poems Li Jianxun

Li Jianxun,whose style name was Zhiyao,was born in guangling(now in yangzhou,Jiangsu).The year of his birth is not testable,and he died in the tenth year of baoda(952).At the first,he worked for Xu Zhixun,and after he worked for Libian,who was the emperor of the Nantang dynasty.When Libian began to reign,he became the prime minister,and he was dismissed twice.In his la ter years,he was retired and lived in Zhongshan.Li Jianxun as a poet form Nantang,had a certain political status,but he had not received corresponding attention in the history of poetry.Moreover,his life was far from the present,and the data was scattered and it is difficult to see the whole picture of his poetry.Li Jianxun lived in the period of the Five Dynasties and Ten States.Living in Five Dynasties and Ten States,Li Jianxun mindset reflected in poetry had some representative significance among literati at that time.The style and means of artistic expression had also played transitional function in the transformation during Tang and Song Dynasty.It is obvious that studying Li Jianxun and his poetry has certain significance in history of literacy.As a result,being based on former researchers' study,I study Li Jianxun and his poetry as fully as possible with combining some information.By studying the types of topics and artistic features,as well as identifying the status and significance of his poetry,the features in the period of transformation during Tang and Song Dynasty can be seen.The paper is divided into three sections: introduction,body,and appendix.The introduction part mainly introduces the topic selection basis,the resea rch status and significance of the project,and a review about these issues is made in this section.The body is divided into three chapters.The chapter one includes five aspects: textual research and summarization about Li's birth place;years of birth and death;marriage;official career;interpersonal relationship.All these are to illustrate his whole life.In chapter two,the spread of his poetry is introduced briefly,including its spread,versions,and recording.In chapter three,the texts of poetr y is analyses,to be specific,including classification of the themes,style characteristics and art gimmick.In terms of themes,the main divisions are immediate emotional poems,reward and send poems,and scene object-chanting poems.Li jianxun did not like flowery language,thus his immediate emotional poems mainly encourage people to enjoy life and not to waste good times.His reward and send poems expresses his nostalgic feeling of dismay and also shows his feeling of lonely.At the same time,these poems show that he was tired of officialdom life and he was looking forward to rural life.He expressed his feeling and ambition by praising objects and scenery.In terms of style and characteristics,his poems have two different styles in his early and late period.In the early period,the poems were a little affectation.While in the late period,the poems were simple and elegant.Generally speaking,the former was praised by later generations.I study its reason of changing by analysing the different styles in two periods;In terms of art gimmick,he was good at describing scenery in the third whole sentence.He often used flowers and wine in his poems,which on one hand,showed that enjoys flowers and wine,one the other hand,expressed that he wanted to enjoy pleasure as much as possible.In addition,the drawbacks of his poems are illustrated,which is aimed to treat his poetry justly.At last I mainly discusses the significance and status of his poems.Apart from as the representative of officers and literati in Southern Tang,its status mainly lies in the heritage of Yuanhe style as well as the transition of poetry during Tang and Song Dynasty.In addition,the annotations about Li's poems are in the appendix.Xu ping's master's thesis has made annotations about Li‘ poems,however,in my opinion,there are some imprecisely points.Therefore,the emphasis of this paper is on the explanation about allusion and uncommon words,and also to make the annotations more accurate and detailed.The whole paper is based on Complete Poetry of Tang,and proofreads many poets' poems in Ming and Qing Dynasty,including: the sign of Tang Poems by Ming Dynasty poet Hu Zhenheng;Shi Cang‘s Selection from Past Poems by Ming Dynasty poet Cao Xuequan;Collection of Tang Poetry by Ming Dynasty poet Gao Bing;The Investigation of Poetry by Ming Dynasty poet Hu Yinglin;Distinction between the Source of Poetry by Ming Dynasty poet Xu Xueyi;Notes on Poets and Poetry of the Five Dynasties by Qing Dynasty poet Wang Shizhen and Zheng Fangkun;Complete Poetry of the Five Dynasties by Qing Dynasty poet Li Tiaoyuan.What's more,the paper combines History of the Southern Tang Dynasty by Ma Ling,History of the Southern Tang Dynasty by Lu You,The Unofficial History of Jiangnan,The Notes of Jiangnan,The Notes of the Southern Tang Dynasty,History of Ten States and some other materials.The paper contains certain explanation about words and illusions,aiming to explain them clear and accurate as much as possible and provide a real Li.Jianxun.
