In the past studies of second language acquisition, scholars often investigate the acquisition of various branches of language to understand the current situation of language acquisition. In some studies, the research idea has linear characteristics, such as exploring the linear causality between a factor and the result. However, from the perspective of complex dynamic system theory, interlanguage system is a complex dynamic system, and the sum of the whole and the parts is not equal to each other. Therefore,it is not feasible to study it by dividing the whole into parts. In addition,a result is not caused by a single factor,is the result of multiple factors. In 1997,larsen-freeman introduced the theory of complex dynamic systems into the research field of second language acquisition, providing a new perspective for the research in this field.Since the theory of complex dynamic system was introduced into China, domestic scholars have applied it to empirical research, and the research results can be divided into three categories:first, the discussion on the language characteristics of second language learners;second, the interaction between learners and the environment;third, the individual study of learners. The current empirical studies are all from the macro perspective, such as learner vocabulary development, peer feedback research, learner individual differences and so on.The problem with macroscopic research is that it is impossible to identify all the factors that affect the development of the system. Therefore, this paper starts from a micro perspective, selects "no" negative construction output from learners’ language characteristics for research, and constructs the overall development path of "no" negative construction output system by observing the development of three subsystems, namely complexity, diversity and accuracy. In the process of the development of the output system of the learner’s"no" negation construction, the key nodes of the transition of the development stage are found, and the reasons for the emergence of the transition are found by combining the language use examples of the learner. The research method in this paper is a combination of quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis. In terms of quantitative analysis,we integrated the measurement standards of language output quality and vocabulary richness, and determined the complexity, diversity and accuracy of the three subsystems of the "no" negative construction output system. The data analysis methods involved include minimax graph, moving mean difference,de-trend,moving correlation graph, resampling technique and monte carlo simulation.By using the above data analysis method, the dynamic changes of the three subsystems and the interactions among the subsystems during the observation period are described, and then the development of the "no" negative construction output system during the observation period is constructed, the development stage is determined, and the key nodes of the phase transition are identified. In terms of qualitative analysis, the reasons for the phase transition are explained in combination with concrete examples.According to the research in this paper,we find that the output system of learners’ "no"negation structure is a complex and dynamic system with characteristics of complexity, dynamics and initial state sensitivity.First of all,the output system of learners’ "no" negation structure has gone through different development stages within three months, and each subsystem within the system is also developing and changing. There is not only an interactive relationship between each subsystem, but also the interactive relationship changes with time. Therefore,it has complexity and dynamics.Secondly, the development path of the output system of "no" negation structure is different with the learners’ different language levels, and the system has the characteristics of initial state sensitivity. It should be pointed out that the level of learning is not the only factor affecting the development path.Specifically, among the six learners, the higher-level learners’ "no“negative construction output system developed rapidly.Advanced(A level)and intermediate(B level)learners experienced two development states during the observation period. The output system of the”no“negation construct of the a-level learners has experienced three development stages:variation state, introduction state and variation state.B2 has gone through two stages of development, the initial lead state and the later mutation state.B1 is special and always in the lead state. However,in its use mode of "no"negative construction,we can see attempts to break the lead state.C-level learners are in the lead all the time, but we see a change. In addition, the order of attention of learners to the three subsystems of complexity, diversity and accuracy is accuracy, complexity and diversity.Thirdly, this paper proves the usage-based language development concept. In the analysis of language use examples, the author finds that frequency of use and cognitive ability play an important role in language development of learners.Learners’ initial use of language starts from fixed collocation, such as the frequent use of "bad",which enables learners to gradually master more diversified expression methods of construction "not +A",such as the expression from "bad mood" to "uncomfortable mood".In addition,it is possible for learners to absorb some language expressions of the other side in the dialogue. When C1 talked with her deskmate in week 4,she used the expression "Chinese level is not high".C1 recorded this conversation in her diary.C1 often USES the expression "not good" to indicate the level of Chinese, but the expression "because my Chinese level is not high" appears in week 7. |
