Research On The Image And Modeling Strategy Of "Fringe People" In Independent Documentary

With the popularity of digital information technology,China’s independent documentary has developed rapidly,and a large number of independent documentary directors who are concerned about “marginal figures” have emerged,the documentary works they have directed have also caused great repercussions at the film festivals at home and abroad,later,more independent documentary directors began to devote themselves to this and gained a huge sensation.In these excellent independent documentary works,the director focuses on the social “marginal figures”such as migrant workers,prostitutes,drug addicts,mental illnesses,and underworld outside the elite culture,and shows the various images of the characters in the marginal world through the lens.Widely concerned by the society.The article takes the Chinese independent documentary works focusing on "marginal figures" since the 1990 s as the research object,combined with the graduation work "Staggering in the Human World",using the literature research method,case analysis method and comparative research method to "edge" in the works.The "person" image is combed and summed up,trying to explore the shaping strategy of the "marginal characters" in the independent documentary.The article is divided into five parts.The introduction mainly expounds the background of the topic selection and the research status at home and abroad.It expounds the meaning of the topic from three aspects: theory,practice and reality,and proposes innovation points in combination with the creative practice of graduation works.The first chapter defines the concept of independent documentary and “marginal characters” to clarify the objects and scope of thearticle.The second chapter summarizes the image of the "marginal characters" in the similar works of Chinese independent documentaries,and summarizes the different "edge characters" images in the works,as well as the analysis of the characters’ selection,at the same time,combined with the graduation works,the selection and analysis of the image of "marginal characters" in the works is expounded.The third chapter is the key content,combined with the graduation works,from the story theme,"interventional" record style,equal creative perspective,details and audio-visual elements to analyze and summarize the "edge people" image shaping strategy.The fourth chapter summarizes the connotation of the image of "marginal characters" in the independent documentary,that is,the metaphor of the meaning of individual existence,the conflict between individual and living environment,and the connotation of the image of "marginal characters" in graduation works.The last part summarizes the whole and looks forward to the development of the image of “marginal characters” in Chinese independent documentaries.
