In recent years,the awareness of environmental protection among the Chinese people has been continuously enhanced,and the participation in environmental protection behavior has also been continuously improved.Environmental protection is both an idea and an action for the public.And environmental protection slogans play an important role in guiding people to protect the environment and raising the awareness of the people to protect the environment.The research object of this thesis is the environmental slogan in Chinese.It mainly uses the speech act theory and conversational principle in pragmatics to explain the slogans,and analyzes how to make the environmental protection slogans better to complete its persuasion and achieve better publicity.The paper is divided into the following sections:The first part of the article is an introduction,including the origin of and the status quo of the research.The research status is mainly related to the study on slogans and environmental slogans.Besides,the research methods and corpus sources of this paper are introduced in this part.The second part gives a brief overview of the environmental slogans.The overview includes the definition,the classifications,the linguistic features and the style characteristics.The classification is divided from the content and the location;the environmental slogan has a serious and solemn,emotional call and humorous style,with emotional appeal and humorous easeThe third part is based on the theory of speech act,which analyzes the speech act and speech subject of environmental slogans.The speech acts are divided into direct/indirect speech acts.In the environmental slogan of direct speech act,the directive and the representative are the main ones.Indirect speech acts are observed from different angles,and there are statute/non-provisional and there “indirect speech acts”.Speech format indirect speech acts include metaphorical,anthropomorphic,pun,contrast,imitation,and dual,among which dual.Speech acts have a certain degree of language power.The instructional degree of indirect speech acts is weaker than that of direct speech acts.The internal commanding degree of direct speech acts has strengths and weaknesses.The main body of speech acts is the slogan publisher and audience.Publishers have the distinction of “explicit” and “implicit” and are divided into explicit publishers and implicit publishers.The audience consists of a single audience and a dual audience.The relationship between the publisher and the audience is invisible and ambiguous.The fourth part discusses the rules for compliance with environmental slogans: cooperative principles and politeness principle.They are the regulatory rules that slogans should follow.There are both slogans that are observed and violate these two rules.The environmental protection slogans of direct speech acts tends to abide by the cooperative principles,and the indirect speech acts tends to deviate from the cooperative principles.Most of the slogans are based on the cooperative principles and politeness principles.The fifth part analyzes the pragmatic strategies used in environmental slogans from the perspective of politeness.The pragmatic strategies are expressed in the use of politeness strategies and no politeness strategies.Not using a politeness strategy is also a “strategy” for publishers.The politeness strategy used is the use of personal indicators,politeness,and online buzzwords.The sixth part is about the irregularities,such as the anomie of language use,the anomie of “word slogan” and the anomie of violation of the principle of cooperation.For these irregularities,the formulator should improve his ability to use language and characters,and should combine different contexts in his creation,and should also pay attention to the innovation of slogans.The final part of the article is the conclusion,summarizing the main content of the article,and explaining the inadequacies of the article. |
