In the Ming Dynasty,Suzhou Wei was at the western end of the Hexi Corridor,where the agricultural and animal husbandry staggered zone.From the early Ming Dynasty to the Wanli,the Ming Dynasty in response to the enemy's three sides,The Ming court built 46 castles in Suzhou.These 46 castles composed a tight defense system with The Great Wall and mountain pass.Some factors lead to castles gradually destruction,such as the replacement from Ming to Qing Dynasties,The frontier became the hinterl,the ravages of wars,changes in the natural environment and Man-made destruction.Combined with historical records,reference to previous studies,investigation and study of 46 castles in Jiayuguan City,Jiuquan City and Jinta County.Today,there are only 13 remaining castles built by the Ming Dynasty in Suzhou,33 of the castles have no obvious traces.
