The Using Of Wool Felt In Modern Fiber Art

Since the second half of the 19 th century,modern fiber art has gradually become an independent and important art form,with a special status in contemporary art.Modern fiber art is closely related to traditional fiber art and is the development and extension of traditional fiber art.Wool,as a natural fiber material,has its own characteristics.Wool has a better felting function than other animal fibers.The soft,natural,craftsmanship and plasticity of the wool felt make it a rare way for modern fiber artists.Based on the graduation design topic,this paper analyzes the application of wool felt in modern fiber art.It mainly analyzes the characteristics of the wool felt method,the felting process and the application examples in modern fiber art works;analyzes and summarizes the definition of fiber art and the characteristics of modern fiber art;finally,based on the graduation design works,from the material characteristics,In the aspects of the fusion method,the felting process and the production process,the application of the wool felt method in the creation is specifically analyzed.
