| Emotion is the external manifestation of human heart,and controlling emotion is one of the important ways to pursue inner happiness.Nowadays,it has become a normal practice to use Prozac and other drugs to intervene in the brain to enhance emotions;the development of brain science has uncovered the inner root of emotions for human beings,and can enhance emotions targeted;gene technology has enabled human beings to target their own emotions and screen the next generation of emotional genes.These are collectively referred to as emotional enhancement techniques.But this technology is an artificial intervention to the human brain,which will inevitably bring a series of ethical issues.Only by preventing and dealing with these ethical issues can the new technology of emotional enhancement really serve people.The first part of the main structure of this paper is the introduction,which introduces the development of emotional enhancement from the current situation of human enhancement,combs the existing views and arguments,and then summarizes the controversy brought about by emotional enhancement technology.The second part mainly summarizes the connotation and ways of emotional enhancement.Firstly,it discusses the definition of emotions,then from human enhancement in a broad sense to the characteristics of the definition of enhancement,and then combs and summarizes the connotation of emotional enhancement.In addition,the existing ways of emotional enhancement technology are sorted out,and three ways of enhancing emotions are summarized: drug-induced brain intervention,non-drug-induced brain intervention and gene-based technology.The third part of the article is about the ethical issues brought about by emotional enhancement technology.It analyses in detail the different problems of different enhancement modes.The intervention of this technology to human body inevitably involves the violation of human self-determination and right of privacy,and it also causes personality alienation,health and safety problems because of its direct effect on human brain.This new technology brings about the change of human body’s ability and challenges the fairness and justice of society at the same time.The fourth part of the article puts forward the corresponding countermeasures against the above ethical issues,respecting life according to certain bioethical principles,moderately using high and new technology to avoid excessive damage to the brain,combining ethical review and strict legal regulations to supervise the safe application of technology,rationally allocating emotions to enhance resources and creating a fair competitive environment.In short,as one of the most important ways for human beings to seek happiness,emotional enhancement technology still needs to be perfected and supplemented before it is fully mature.What we need to do is to construct a reasonable ethical framework,comprehensively and comprehensively consider this new and high technology,and find a balance between the pursuit of truth in instrumental rationality and the pursuit of goodness in value rationality.So that it can really benefit human beings,and it will not restrict the development of technology itself because of ethical issues. |
