With the development of the internet and information technology,the new teaching model such as MOOC resources and Flipped Classroom is proposed by internet platform.It is a good way to get rid of the weakness in traditional teaching,make students become the main body of the teaching.The new teaching model changes the teachers' role in the classroom.However,there are still some problems of the current college students in English reading ability.In the traditional teaching model,the teacher is the main role in the classroom teaching.Grammar and vocabulary are the main content.This is a kind of examination-oriented education.Traditional teaching model ignores that English is a practical language.Through the utilization of MOOC resources,the Flipped Classroom Teaching Model can play a positive role in cultivating students' comprehensive ability,especially college students' English reading ability.This research expounds the concept of MOOC and Flipped Classroom,under the guidance of Learning Community Theory,Constructivism Learning Theory and Cognitive Load Theory to promotes the integration of the MOOC resources and the Flipped Classroom in the teaching.This research discusses the feasibility of this model in practical application.At the same time,in order to verify the effect of the Flipped Classroom in college English reading,this research selects two classes of non-English majors in Northwest Minzu University to carry out the experimental teaching.The research uses SPSS 16.0 to conclude intuitively that the Flipped Classroom Teaching Model has a significant impact on the college students' English reading score.Through questionnaire survey,it can be seen that Flipped Classroom Teaching Model can improve the college students' enthusiasm of English learning.This research analyzes some relevant factors and existing problems affecting college English reading teaching and proposes corresponding solutions.But the role of teachers in teaching still cannot be ignored.It is necessary to plan students' learning from a global perspective,so as to improve truly students' learning effect and enthusiasm.
