A Study Of Successive Gdong Zug Nyang Tshang Lama

This paper has mainly divided into five parts.The first part analyzes the source of the Tibetan first name "nyang" under the bases of amount important historical literatures,and has proved the origin and attribution of the gdong zug nyang tshang Lama in turn.The second,third and fourth parts of the paper are the most important contents for this study,therefore,detailed analysis was carried out through some reliable materials such as historical documents,religious historical materials,biographies,and oral legends.Firstly,we described the happenings when nyang tshang Lama's were being the leader of three regions(Shuangcha,Ala,and Jicang)both in political and religious for more than 700 years during the same time when they were presiding over the three regions by being accordance with the Sakya management system.And among the forth part,we explained in detail how they have presided over political and religious affairs of the ancient monastery and the three regions under the Gelug Buddha reincarnation system.The fifth part uses the literature and linguistics,as well as geography and other methods to determined the accuracy naming of the Tibetan ancient gdong zug Monastery,and elaborated on the religious festivals and the monks.
