| Female view is a summary and analysis of women’s social status,social role and social rights.This thesis intends to study the feminine view of Rome in the period of classical culture,so as to develop a better understanding of and to recognize the changes of Roman women’s status in Roman society and deepen the understanding of the progress of Roman history.The framework of this paper is composed of three parts:introduction,text and conclusion.The text consists of three parts.The first part is the germination of female view of the in the regal period.Roman gradually stereotyped the ideal womanly image,and the feminine view had already begun to sprout.Women who are humble,gentle,strong and loyal are praised by the society.Although Roman women were covered by the society of that time,they were also oppressed by the patriarchal system.They had not been allowed to ensure that part of the general assembly and had no voice in social and political life.The second part is the development of the female viewer in the republican period.Rome continued to be expanded,and by the middle of the 2nd century BC had become a great power spanning Europe,Asia,and Africa.During this period,female view of Rome has changed.Women will no longer be confined to the family,but actively safeguarded the country and their own rights.Noble women took an active part in civic life.The status of Roman women in the family was obviously improved,and the female view of Rome was taken forward.Women not only made contributions in the family,but also began to affect politics.The third part is the maturity of female view in the early imperial period.In politics,women began to have more power and even directly interfered in the management of the country and the abolition of the head of state.Women also began to pursue freedom in love and marriage,giving play to their individual talents and charm,and also reflected the maturity of Roman women’s view.Female view provides a summary and analysis of women’s social status,social role and social rights.Conclusion:the female view of Rome from the classical cultural perspective has two traditions of respecting and discriminating against women.From the regal to the beginning of the empire,the status of Roman women in the family gradually improved,and women with virtue were respected by the society.In the field of social politics,women actively fought for political power and social equality,and their role in Roman politics became more and more obvious.Aristocratic women could even directly exert influence on politics,and men’s dominant position was compromised.From the regal to the beginning of the empire,the status of Roman women in the family gradually improved,and women with virtue were respected by the society.Although the status of Roman women gradually improved,we cannot ignore that in such a patriarchal society in Rome,it is impossible for women to achieve a truly equal status.Roman men’s norms of female morality,the suppression of women’s freedom by patriarchy and husband’s right,and the failure of female political aspirants all reflect the male society’s discrimination against women. |
