Zhao Shao-ang is a representative figure of the second generation of painters of Lingnan School after "Two High Schools and One Chen",and is equally well-known with Guan Shanyue,Li Xiongcai and Yang Shanshen of the same period.Influenced by his experience of studying in Japan,Zhao Shao-ang regards reforming traditional Chinese painting as his mission, absorbs the advantages of Japanese painting, integrates and forms his own unique artistic features, and has a far-reaching impact on future generations.Till today, whether in the painting or academic circles, has shown great recognition of Zhao Shao-ang's painting art. However, the formation of Zhao Shao'ang's style and the origin of art have not been deeply explored. The evaluation of Zhao Shao'ang's art and its influence on later generations should not only be based on his painting techniques, brush and ink language and composition, but also on his painting style, tracing back to the root of his painting art.To be able to further evaluate the height and depth of its art,in order to return the real coordinates of its art.
