In daily life,interview programs have become an important way for people to entertain.Based on the theory of conversational analysis proposed by Sacks et al.,and according to the scholar Liu Hong's summary and expansion of this theory,the author selected 15 episodes of "Ellen Show" from September to November 2018 as corpus.This paper analyzed the influence of non-verbal strategy in turn-taking process of Ellen Show.This paper aims to make some complement of the previous theses and to analyze how non-verbal strategies influenced the utterance of both the host and the guest.In the past paper about "Ellen Show",the research perspective is mainly to combine "Ellen Show" with some domestic talk show programs such as "Jinxing Show" and "Interview with Yang Lan" for comparative analysis,or did analysis from the perspective of science of television,or analyze the humor effect of Ellen Show from the perspective of pragmatics.However,the study of non-verbal strategies in Ellen Show is relatively rare.Ellen Show is a talk show based on interviews.Combined with the theory of conversation analysis proposed by Sacks et al.and the theory of turn-taking proposed by Liu Hong,the author transcribed and analyzed the turn,and analyzed how the impact of non-verbal strategies influenced the turn.
