A Practice On The English-Chinese Translation Of Soft Robotics:A Perspective-Current Trends And Prospects For The Future

With the frequent communication between China and other countries and rapid development of science,English for Science and Technology(EST),an important tool to promote the exchange between countries,has attracted people's attention in terms of the great need of it's translation.The original material of this translation report is Soft Robotics:A Perspective-Current Trends and Prospects for the Future.The main content of this report is based on the study of soft robot development history to review the substantive progress of soft robot research in the world,such as principles,models,materials,techniques and applications of soft robots.At the same time,it shows the prospects of the major scientific and technological challenges related to soft robots.The translation report is mainly composed of four parts.The first part is the project introduction.The translation program background,the content and significance of the report were illustrated from the perspective of science and translation.The second part is the description of the translation which includes the pre-translation preparation the key points and difficulties encountered in the translation and the translation proofreading.The third part is the main body of the report which is mainly made up of the translation case analysis:it starts with the problems respectively from the technical lexis and sentence structures should be paid attention to in the translation of English scientific text.The author also analyzes some typical examples from the translation work and applies translation strategies.The last part is the summary of the translation report in which the author describes the experience and suggestions in the translation.Through the sharing of this paper,the author hopes to contribute to the formation of a more systematic and comprehensive knowledge system in soft robotics technique text translation.
