Study Of Sentence Deep Structure In Sci-Tech Context From The Perspective Of Hermeneutics

Over recent years,China stresses on the strategy of reinvigorating the country and human resource development with science and education.With the increasing number and quality of sci-tech papers and masterpieces,the translation quality of such a text has been required to rise and upgrade.The scientific and technological texts belong to a particular information text;hence,the translator should pay attention to its accurate words and unique expression as well as its complex structure and textual characteristics.This translation material adopts from an astronomical technological text,The Pillars of Creation,This report can be divided into four major parts.The first part,an overview of translation projects,briefly introduces the translation purpose,the original text and its author as well as the research meaning.The second part includes the translation theory and process.In terms of translation theory,the author combines Steiner's hermeneutic theory to illustrate its basic introduction and enlightenment meaning.The translation process involves three steps,namely,preparation before translation,translation in progress and revise after translation.Before stepping into translation,a great quantity of astronomy books has been read,including Today Astronomy and Basic Astronomy.Amid the translation,the author tries to make an initial translation after reading through the text and attempted to revise some sentences that impede reader's understanding and sentence reading efficiency.After it,the author sets out to solve those problems pertinently,such as proper noun and translation accuracy.The third part,translation theory and case analysis,are the focus of this translation report,which explains the flexible use of translation strategy and analyzes specific translation examples in the translation process.Finally,the fourth part,translation project summary,orients to the translation difficulties encountered in the process of summarizing translation,for instance,the limited astronomical background knowledge and difficult long sentences,and proposes ways to solve the translation difficulties and avoid the unnecessary translation mistakes.
