Today,the nationality of Chinese ceramic art faces to the impact of the pluralistic culture from all over the word due to the highly developed cultural globalization,which shows us the requirements of paying more thinking and exploring to the creation of Chinese ceramic art.Tai Chi is a traditional culture that is well known as a quintessence of Oriental culture with Chinese national characteristics and spiritual connotation.The principle of Yin and Yang of Tai Chi has widely permeated into different fields of art and provided a rich source of creation for the art development.This thesis has mainly studied the integration of Tai Chi elements into ceramic art creation.To create arts that conforms to the traditional ideas and comply with the national aesthetic consciousness,the creators are not only need to consider the symbol meaning and culture connotation of Tai Chi elements,but also need to integrate it with the artistic form during the process of ceramics art creation.This research categorized the Tai Chi elements and analyzed the application of it in ceramic art creation based on various kinds of ceramic art forms,from which the manner,methods and characteristics of the harmonious combination between the Tai Chi elements and the ceramic arts was derived.Besides,the Yin and Yang philosophy,the aesthetic value and the symbolic meaning contained in the ceramic arts employing Tai Chi elements was discussed.It was found that,the ceramic arts employing Tai Chi elements shown richer philosophical connotations and aesthetic forms,more notable aesthetic value,and more distinct nationality characteristics of art.This is a fully display of the traditional culture of China,and a good manner to show the national character of Chinese ceramic art,which is an important direction for the revival of Chinese ceramic art.
