The Application Of Texture Of Corrugated Paper In Ceramic Decoration Designing

As a common item,corrugated paper is divided into three layers.The surface layer is the same as ordinary paper.The intermediate corrugated layer is usually as type of U.Because of its special structural form,it is elastic.It has strong restoring force during collision and pressure.It is widely used in packaging materials at present.Now,in the field of art,some artists have discovered the advantages of the special form of corrugated paper,and begin to excavate the art language,but the use of corrugated paper texture in ceramic decoration is not common.From the angle of corrugated paper,the author explores the various possibilities of its development in ceramic decoration.This paper will touch on the issue in three parts.The first part starts with concept to discuss the characters of corrugated paper and its artistic features,paving the way for future series of works.Second,it is essential to build up experience and get inspiration in creating ceramic works so as to explore ways of expression and determine aesthetic standard for the series of work,Zhiqu.The third part shows how the ceramics works are conceived,created and what have been learnt in this process.New ways of expression for ceramic decoration design are explored by recording pictures and analyzing problems and solutions in making ceramics products.Renderings of four series of works and their design descriptions will showcase what have been done.Also this part will brief on developments of this series down the road.
