In Liuku,a border town in Nujiang Prefecture,Yunnan Province, there lived a group of “LAN BA PEOPLE” who lived on scavengers. They were not locals, but were Burmese refugees.Due to their uncertain status, they have neither a Chinese nor a Burmese account, which greatly limits their lives and development. They are in an amorphous state and cannot work.Nor can they study like the locals,go to school, and plan for the future.Everything in their lives is not their own.Only religion is the light of their lives, but their transitional dependence on religion also limits their acceptance of modern culture. The documentary “LAN BA PEOPLE” set out from a scavenging girl living in the village of “LAN BA PEOPLE” and described her scavenging life and the influence of her “religious” religious dependence on her.She wanted to display it as a representative. The general living conditions of the six Kucu refugees.
