The Number One Scholar’s Family Has A Long History——Yuan Jiagu’s Family Style Research

Yuan Jiagu(1872--1937),whoes style name was Shu Wu,from ShipingYunnan.In 1903,Yuan Jiagu passed the imperial examination,in the same year,he took the Economics Special Examination and won the first prize in the Economics Division.He became the first champion in the history of the Yunnan Imperial Examination.Folks call it the “Economic Special Element”or “the Unique Champion of Yunnan”.Under the influence of Shiping’s local culture,parents’ preaching and teaching,and Chinese traditional culture,Yuan grew up as a person with both ability and political integrity.He is well known in history,literature,economics,education,and calligraphy.It is called the “three masters in the middle of Yunan”.Meanwhile he made great contributions to local culture in Yunan.Moreover,after a long period of accumulation,Yuan carried forward and passed on good quality,and formed a unique and favorable family atmosphere.The article takes Yuan Jiagu’s family style as the research object,through combing the historical background of Yuan’s family atmosphere,focused on analyzing the basic content of Yuan’s family style and the inheritance and development of their later generations,in an effort to seek a positive family attitude trait to later generations,and the profound influence and enlightenment of the society.On the basis of previous research,and study of Yuan’s corpus and poems,the thesis focus on the basic content of Yuan’s family trait,which is based on summarizing and introducing the historical background of his family atmosphere.It is proposed Yuan Jiagu’s family trait is rich in connotation,which mainly includes the love of the nation,the people and the country,service to the society,honest and clean of the work,as well as the noble character of the diligent family and devolop good morals to educate others.Features of the full text is the interview to Yuan’s posterity,the inheritance and development of Yuan Jiagu’s family trait which was combed by Yuan’s posterity,as well as the value and significance of a good family trait,thus summarizes the interaction enlightenment which is between family trait,general mood of society,and national customs.Good family style promotes the development of society and country.
