Toni Morrison is not only a prestigious African-American female writer, but also a senior professor and critic, who is still active in the world of literary circles. In Morrison's writings, the history, fate and spiritual world of blacks are the themes of her expression, highlighting her understanding of gender, race and culture. She inherited the space narrative tradition of American literature and African-American literature, and it became an important strategy of Morrison's novel creation. With Morrison's pen,she always described home, community and other spaces. This article focuses on Morrison's Heterotopias, plantations, cemeteries, churches, ships to represent the existence of the black Americans and women in the American society from different angles.Although there are only two works involving the plantations,Beloved and A Mercy,Heterotopias is a very important space written by Morrison, which is most directly related to the darkest part of the survival of the African-Americans.They are deprived of human nature and look on them as animals or goods. In many of Morrison's works appear cemeteries as Heterotopias. The relationship between the black life and the cemeteries indicates that the black life is unequal and the death is insignificant. The cemetery is not only a reflection of racial inequality, but also a heritage of African-American culture. As the sanctuary of the African American spirit, the holy space is still the working field of power.Since African-Americans came to the American continent, they have been destined to be a discrete nation. They migrated and wandered in different spaces. The mobile space connecting different spaces, such as cars, trains and ships, has become an important place to record and reflect the survival of African-Americans.As a African-American female writer,Morrison expressed her concern for the black and female survival through various heterotopias to reproduce the survival journey of African-Americans and females.
