A Study On The Achievement Of Chinshihs Group In Qizhou And Huangzhou In Song Dynasty

Before the Song Dynasty,the culture of Qizhou and Huangzhou developed quite slowly,while it has accelerated since the Song Dynasty.During the Song Dynasty,Qizhou and Huangzhou produced a large number of outstanding talents,of whom the Chinshihs Group in the imperial examinations made a great achievement to Chinese history and had some effect on it.The research method of this paper includes historical literature interpretation,data statistics and other methods,collecting and collating the historical records,local chronicles and anthologies of Song Dynasty to figure out the status of the imperial examinations and the number of Chinshihs in Qizhou and Huangzhou of that time,and conducting an in-depth research on this basis.The main content of the paper consists of three parts:The first part mainly analyzes the basic situation of Chinshihs in Qizhou and Huangzhou in the Song Dynasty.Through the analysis of the ecological environment,administrative units,economic level,and cultural foundation of Qizhou and Huangzhou in the Song Dynasty,the basic situation of Qizhou and Huangzhou in the Song Dynasty is grasped.Through the textual research,it is statistically obtained that there were 52 Chinshihs intotal in Qizhou and Huangzhou in the Song Dynasty.And during that time,the number of Qizhou and Huangzhou Chinshihs showed an increasing tendency in fluctuation.There were a large number of Chinshihs in Ningzong,Lizong,and Duzong these three dynasties.In general,there were more Chinshihs in the Southern Song Dynasty than in the Northern Song Dynasty.During the Song dynasty,the Qizhou and Huangzhou Chinshihs were unevenly distributed in space,for most of them were in Qizhou while fewer were in Huangzhou,which appears a diminishing scale from the east to the west.Chinshins were also unevenly distributed in the counties under the state,forming some individual Chinshihs centers,especially with a typical example of Guangji County.The second part mainly analyzes the achievements and characteristics of Chinshihs in Qizhou and Huangzhou in the Song Dynasty.On the basis of in-depth study of local chronicles,literati anthologies and other literatures.it was discovered that the Qizhou and Huangzhou Chinshihs Group of the Song Dynasty actively explored and practiced in one certain or more fields such as economy,military affairs,and culture—they kept prices down and paid attention to water conservancy;they advised on military operations,protecting and defending the hometown;they enforced and abided the law,treated the trials fairly;they were engaged in writing some books and so on.In the Song Dynasty,the achievements of Qizhou and Huangzhou Chinshihs Group showed the following characteristics:participate in political integrity and cleanliness;the Chinshihs group manage the military;study with great concentration and teach students.The third part studies the influence of the achievement of the Chinshihs group in the Song Dynasty.The Chinshihs group in the Song Dynasty contributed to not merely that age but also the later generations.At that time,the Chinshihs Group in Qizhou and Huangzhou helped to promote economic development,promote social mobility,form the imperial examination families,etc.And as for the later generations,the Chinshihs Group at the time left them some cultural heritage,which can enrich cultural connotation.
