The Studies On Women's Fictional Narrative Of Alice Munro's Short Stories

The theme of this thesis is the study on women's fictional narrative of Alice Munro's short stories.The focus of the study is to analyze the forms,causes and the meaning of the fictional narrative of the female characters in Munro's novels from the dual perspective of the subject and object under Alice Munro's fictional narrative background.And then it clarifies Alice Munro's narrative skills and meaning of the fictional narrative in the process of writing the novels.The author intends to show that the fictional narrative in Munro's novels not only includes the fictional narrative of female characters,but also the narrative behavior of the writer.The two kinds of fictional narratives echo with each other,forming the unique charm in Munro's novels.Among them,the first chapter intends to explore the different patterns of fictional narrative.Then divide the fictional narrative in two ways,summarizes the narrative level and narrative modes of the fictional narrative in the novel from the subject and object levels of fictional narratives,that is,the fictional narrative can be divided into from the fictional identity,fictional environment and the fictional events in accordance with the"fictional" objects;the fictional narrative can be divided into in accordance with the"narrative" of the recipient can be divided into fictional words,fictional consciousness and fictional text of the fictional narrative in the way according to the "narrative"recipients.The second chapter analyzes the causes of the fictional narrative of female characters:subjective psychological mechanism and objective social and historical factors.The chapter continues to analyze the way that Id,ego and superego of the spiritual personalities of female subject promote the production of fictional narrative under the interaction from the dual perspective of the subject and object;as the object of the social and historical environment,three factors have a profound impact on women's fictional narratives,that is,the marginality on the geographical environment and gender status,the female self-objectification in the male patriarchal discourse environment and the victim thinking in Canadian national culture.The third chapter discusses the meaning of women's fictional narratives for the subject and object,namely for the object environment,there is a performance on the fictional narrative for the reconstructing of the identity and the environment with the essence of the fiction of the ethical identity and ethical predicament;and for the subject,the fictional narrative is a protective action on its own,and it helps to relieve the anxiety of the main body and create a "seemingly true" for the respected self-realization.Secondly,from the perspective of Munro's creation,it analysis the narrative skills in the fictional narrative,namely it creates a sense of reality through the close internal focus perspective,the mercy and conciliatory tone and the desalinated plot and makes the psychological distance between the reader and the protagonist of the story.Munro's creative purpose of the fictional narrative is to show women's survival reality and predicament in the current social environment in order to arouse the vigilance and reflection of women while comforting and delighting oneself.
