A Research And Survey On Bon Monastery In Rnga Ba County

Bon religion is formed locally on the Tibetan Plateau and created by the wisdom of the Tibetan people.Its content preserves a large number of Tibetan customs and cultural heritages.From a historical point of view,Bon religion had a profound impact on the political,economic and cultural thoughts of the ancient Tibetan people,and formed its own unique religious system.Bon religion has accumulated a large number of books and documents,which is the main component of Tibetan culture.Ngaba County,located in the west of Sichuan Province,is one of the earliest area where Bon religion was introduced.It is also the site of the snang zhig monastery and rtogs ldan monastery in Ngaba prefecture.Four Bon monasteries in Ngaba county,this paper combined filed works of historical documents and social anthropology,and according to the survey and documents collating analyzed and studied the history,sect distribute,monastery organization,religion rituals of these four Bon monasteries in Ngaba county.Meanwhile,the significance of Bon religion communication to the construction of harmonious society in Ngaba county is also analyzed.
