The Study Of Lu Wengui And His Thoughts

Lu Wengui,a famous literator who is from Jiangyin in Yuan Dynasty.People called him“Mr.Qiang Dong”.He was written in Historu of Yuan because he was good at history as well as astronomy,arithmetic,geographic,law,and medicine.Lu Wengui is a representative of the southeast of China scholars because of his profound academic attainments and strict discipline.In the year of Song Xianchun,Lu Wengui passed Central Township Examination.When Song Dynasty extincted,he decided to live in seclusion.He devoted himself into education,when he passed another exam.Later he focused on the education of medicine.The Qiang Dong Manuscript has twenty volumes,which includes the important thinking of writer.It is very useful for the study of the politics,economic,society,examination and Jiangyin evolution of Yuan Dynasty.Lu Wengui’s thoughts embodied in The Qiang Dong Manuscript can be divided into three major parts.They are politics,food and educational literature.The book has high value of historical data,it is a complete system of ancient literati thinking.The first chapter introduces Lu Wengui’s life and his intercourse,including the spread of his book The Qiang Dong Manuscript.Chapter Ⅱ,ChapterⅢ and ChapterⅣ introduce Lu Wengui’s thoughts of government,food and goods,education and literature respectively.The fifth chapter analyzes the influencing factors of the formation of Lu Wengui’s thoughts.As a result,this essay helps people had an understanding of the advance and retreat of scholars in the period of the Song and Yuan Dynasties.It also can help people know the collective value orientation of the scholars in the south of the Yangtze River.On the basis of the predecessors,people will have more objectively evaluation about the academic thoughts and contributions of Lu Wengui.
