On Zhai Yongming’s Poet Image

Zhai Yongming is a poet with special significance in the history of Chinese new poetry.In the 1980 s,she completed a group poem called "women" and shocked the literary world by her distinctive female standpoint.In the subsequent poetry creation,she has maintained a good writing state and made progress in the continuous exploration.In recent years,scholars’ research on Zhai Yongming has focused on her poems,and little attention has been paid to her essay writing.Compared with the research of her works,the systematical study of her poet image is still absent.This paper starts from the connotation of the poet image,and integrates multiple materials including Zhai Yongming’s works,poetic ideas,real life experience,as well as the public acceptance and interpretation.Based on close reading and detailed analysis of texts,this paper is intended to make a more in-depth analysis of Zhai Yongming’s poet image from three aspects “feminist” image,the mental image and visual image.In the first chapter,this paper expounds the connotation and research value of the poet image,and combs the research status of Zhai Yongming’s poet image.In the second chapter,on the basis of introducing the related concepts,this paper studies the uniqueness of the female consciousness of Zhai Yongming in the whole historical context,and discusses the poet image of "feminist" shown by Zhai Yongming.Based on the exploration of poet’s real life and poetic creation,the third chapter explains Zhai Yongming’s "independent" and "avant-garde" mental image.In the background of the visual turn,the fourth chapter mainly discusses the visual image of Zhai Yongming.The image building by the poet herself and the public makes Zhai Yongming’s visual image stays on the track of "beauty".While from the view of “see” and “be seen”,this part explores more diverse visual image of Zhai Yongming.
