A Practice Report On C-E Consecutive Interpreting For The Conference Between American Educational Delegation And Baoding Commercial Bureau

The American educational delegation from Confucius Institute of Xavier University visited Baoding Commercial Bureau on June 5^th,2018.The theme of this conference was mainly about the investment,trade and education between Baoding and the United States.The author attended this conference as a consecutive interpreter.This report consists of five chapters.Chapter 1 is the description of the interpreting task,including the background information,content,features and significance of the task and the requirements of the organizer.Chapter 2 is the description of the interpreting process,including the implementation in the interpreting process and reflection after the interpreting task.Chapter 3 is the preparations before interpreting,including the preparations for relevant information of this conference,the interpreting theory and interpreting tools.Chapter 4 is case analysis,which is the core of this report.In this chapter,the author mainly analyzes the interpreting of number,redundant information,illogical sentences and run-on sentences and mistakes in the interpreting process.Chapter 5 is a conclusion which focuses on the experience of the interpreting practice with the hope that it may provide some helps for interpreters.
