A Study On The Custom Of "Qing Wuxian" In Guizhou

Wuxianbelief has been accumulated in the folk for many years.Wuxianbelief in China is generally spread in Jiangxi,Zhejiang and Fujian,and there are scattered signs of worship in other places,but they are the existence left by history.In these areas,most of the forms of worship are temple sacrifices,while the most prominent form in Guizhou is family sacrifices followed by "celebrating the fifth anniversary"."Qing Wuxian" is not only a kind of religious sacrificial ceremony to witness the separation of brothers and fulfill their vows,but also has the function of exorcising evil spirits,chasing epidemic diseases and protecting family peace.This paper analyzes the connotation and significance behind this custom from the perspective of the two "Qing Wuxian" in Zhijin and Nayong regions of northwest Guizhou and the "Huan Wuxian" in Huishui region of south Guizhou.Chapter one is the historical origin of the five manifest beliefs.It mainly analyzes the appellation and image of "wuxian" from the historical background from the dimension of time.The difference of the image of gods means that they have different divinity and priesthood,and there are different objects of psychological sustenance for the public.The second chapter is the "localization" of the five manifest beliefs.Culture is fluid.Wuxianbelief first prevailed in jiangnan region,and then spread into southwest region because of immigration."Qing Wuxian" is the belief spread into Guizhou Wuxianand "in the local" become a unique local culture.With the continuous migration of immigrants,its form and process is actually a combination with other folk beliefs.The third chapter is the ceremony and symbol symbol of "celebrating five manifestos"."Significant celebration of five" ceremony in the whole process of dynamic both the nature of the ritual is performed at the same time form of ritual drama,this chapter will field investigation to the process as a detailed description of the three rituals,and from outside the descriptions of the visual Angle to the ceremony internal reflected by a series of symbol system and the "five show" ceremony is drama.The fourth chapter is the local practice of Wuxianbelief."Celebrating Wuxian" is a folk custom.For the local people,the materialized "Wuxianaltar" actually carries a lot of their psychological representations and expectations for life.This chapter Mainly combined with the "folk custom context" of field investigation,to understand the social "meaning web" woven by local villagers.
