As the most representative feminist theorist in post-modern France,Irigaray has made outstanding contributions in the pursuit of gender equality.Criticizing the logic of identity in the traditional discourse of Western philosophy, explaining the actual gender differences between men and women, exploring the construction of women's subjectivity, and building a peaceful and coexisting gender world is one of the main goals of Lucy Irigaray's feminist theory.Irigaray's feminist theory is complex and profound, which opening up new research fields for the development of post-modern feminism and making outstanding contributions to women's equality.Irigaray's theory of female subjectivity is based on the vast theoretical system of the West, mainly involving gender differences, body and discourse. The inheritance and criticism of Freud's psychoanalytic theory is the basis of the inability of Irigaray's feminist theory to be circumvented.Lacan's gender difference theory provides a theoretical guide for Irigaray's theory of constructing female subjectivity.Starting from Derrida's deconstructionism,Irigaray deconstructed the theoretical interpretation of the separation of traditional gender differences and re-established a new gender concept.Derrida's deconstruction is a powerful magic weapon for Irigaray to subvert traditional philosophy. The inheritance of French traditional feminist theory represented by Beauvoir provides a traditional theoretical cornerstone for Irigaray's subjectivity theory.Irigaray criticized the western traditional identity logic which restrained the establishment of women's subjectivity. How did patriarchal culture use a single standard to suppress the expression of human discourse? The world was divided into a gender,a subject and a discourse system, and women became marginalized others.Irigaray constructs the core of female subjectivity with gender differences as the core.Irigaray believes that in order to construct female subjectivity,it is necessary to construct a female culture that corresponds to the traditional patriarchal culture. Therefore, the construction of female subjectivity must re-link the mother-daughter relationship that was cut off in patriarchal system and establish a female pedigree.Only by establishing a female culture comparable to male patriarchy can we establish a harmonious and equal exchange between the two sexes, establish a harmonious relationship between the two sexes and promote gender equality. It is progressive that Irigaray explores the issue of women's liberation on the basis of the pre-inheritance feminist theorists. The concept of gender equality must be raised to the level of ideology and social culture, that is,to the level of philosophy to eliminate the alienation of the women's bodies.Irigaray does not explore the issue of women's liberation in isolation, but gives women an independent identity to explore gender equality.Although Irigaray's theory of female subjectivity has not completely shaken off the shackles of essentialism and the shortcomings of being divorced from reality,it still contributes to women's liberation worldwide.Women's subjectivity, which runs through the beginning and end of Irigaray's theoretical research,is keenly pointed out keenly that only by constructing self-subjectivity can women achieve equal dialogue between the sexes and pursue gender liberation on the basis of respecting gender differences. The advanced of Irigaray's theory is obvious. It can pay attention to the development trend of feminist theory, attach importance to the shaping of human subjectivity, and expand the visual communication between human and nature, the East and the West.Irigaray also attaches great importance to the role of the body, which is of great significance for the study of female culture in the future.
