In recent years,Chinese and Japanese are important foreign languages in Korea and have already become the most common elective subjects of secondary foreign language in high schools.Although Chinese language shows a strong competitive advantage, however, the effect of Chinese teaching in vocational high school is not ideal in practical teaching, students have relatively high willingness and preference in learning Japanese and Japanese culture. Therefore, taking the typical vocational high school students of Korea Food Service Science High School as a case study, the research compares and analyzes the willingness of students in learning Chinese and Japanese through questionnaires and interviews.Combined with survey results and practical observations, the dissertation analyzes and summarizes the differences in student selection tendency, learning motivation, language acceptance, cultural recognition and teacher mobility from a micro perspective. And then, from the macroscopic perspective, drawing on and using the language competition theory at a broader level, the background factors that cause the differences in learning are summarized into four aspects:national economic strength, cultural influence and promotion, language self-traits,teacher trust and collaboration. Finally,in response to the shortcomings of Chinese international promotion, drawing lessons and experience from Japanese international promotion, the dissertation gets corresponding enlightenment from the aspects of promotion mechanism, national image, cultural soft power and collaborative teachingrelationship. As a result,we can promote the international promotion of Chinese language in both quality and quantity perspectives and enhance learners' willingness to learn Chinese more specifically.
