| In the era of rapid development of information technology,with the continuous development of science and technology and the gradual deepening of global economic integration,English translation is becoming more and more important.Due to its professionalism,the translation of scientific and technical English requires the practitioners to improve their translation skills based on understanding the features of scientific and technical English texts.German functionalist translation theorists Katharina Reiss and Hans Vermeer put forward Skopos Theory and then elaborated the principles: skopos rule,coherence rule and fidelity rule.The skopos rule is the first principle,while the coherence rule of and fidelity rule need to be loyal to the skopos rule.This translation report selects the first,second and third chapters of The Computer-aided Translation,a translation textbook edited by Qian Duoxiu,as the original text,and translates the original text into English,under the guidance of Skopos Theory.The report consists of five parts,namely,translation task description,translation process description,translation theory overview,case analysis and the summary.Case analysis is the core part of this report,which focuses on reflecting translation ideas and explaining translation methods.The summary is the essence of the report,which reflects the significance of translation practice and provides suggestions for future translation work.By writing this report,the translator improved her translation skill,learned some basic operation and use of the computer aided translation software skills,and enhanced the understanding of translation.The author learned that the translator not only needs good professional quality,but also keeps pace with the times,constantly learning the new technology,that is,computer aided translation. |
