A Study On The Identity Consciousness Of Chinese Intellectual Novels Since The New Century

In the academic circle,the research on Chinese intellectuals began in the 1980 s,develop-ed in the 1990 s and matured in the 21 st century.In the process of the research,the study on the connotation of intellectuals is developing over the time.In the novels of the new century,the images of intellectuals have changed greatly,and the original images of intellectuals have been changed beyond recognition due to the influence of market economy.In the creation of new century novels based on intellectuals,the human nature,survival values,social reality,traditional cultural thoughts,deeply thinking on western enlightenment and so on,have gradually occurred in the writers' works,in which the new outlook of the intellectuals at the turn of century and under the spiritual power of modernity,always encourage the readers with hope and strength.The transformation of the intellectuals' identity consciousness in the new century has injected vitality into the development of literature in the new century.This paper is divided into three modules: introduction,text and conclusion.In the first module of the paper-the introduction,explains the origin of the research,defines the significance of Chinese intellectual novels,emphasizes the research value of Chinese intellectual novels,at the same time takes care of the relevant text materials,and presupposes the research from three steps: research purpose,research method and research thought..In the second module of the paper-the text,consists of four chapters: the first chapter firstly sorts out the transformations of Chinese intellectuals' identity consciousness,analyzes the genealogy of literal images of intellectuals in the new century,and briefly discusses the changes of Chinese intellectuals' images and their cultural identity consciousness in the new century.In the second chapter,from the perspective of subjective and objective factors and from the angle of construction of cultural identity,the author describes three situations in the Chinese intellectual novels: the identity anxiety,“lack of elite” in intellectuals' identity consciousness;and the gradual immense of elite consciousness and the reconstruction of their cultural identity.The third chapter,from the perspective of narrative mode,combined with the specific text analysis,particularly analyzes the new changes in the narrative modes of Chinese intellectual novels.Chapter four focuses on the significance of narration of intellectual novels since the new century.On the one hand,the narration of the Chinese intellectual novels in the new century is the inheritance and development of previous intellectual novels.On the other hand,the narration of the Chinese intellectual novels in the new century also make people have a further awareness of the cultural state where they are;and reflect the cultural confusion caused by the identity dislocation of people in the market economy society and their spiritual adherence in the context of the new era.In the third module of the paper-the conclusion,affirms the study on the intellectual identity is a significant research angle of Chinese intellectual novels in the new century,reveals the writers' analysis and reflections on the intellectuals' elite consciousness,spiritual persistence,and cultural identity in various contexts of different times.Through depicting the situations and the changes of different periods,the author intends to remind people to stick to the bottom line of humanity.
