A Study Of Fictional Characters In Han Fu

Han Fu is the "literature of a generation" and the precious literary heritage left to us by the Han Dynasty.The content of Han Fu is rich,in which the characters are important elements.There are many characters in Han Fu,and they cover a wide range.Moreover,there are a large number of fictional characters in Han Fu works,and their number and types are relatively rich.This paper mainly studies the fictional characters in the works of Han Fu.In the first part of the paper,the fictional characters in Han Fu are briefly discussed.Firstly,the fictional figures in Han Fu are counted and classified.The classification mainly considers the identity attributes of these fictional characters,and divides them into three categories: ordinary people,legendary people and inhuman people.Among them,the common people mainly include the host and guest,various beauties,and other people besides these two kinds.Legendary figures mainly include some characters whose authenticity can’t be confirmed,or whose imaginary components are too large.In the non-human category,it can be divided into gods,immortals,ghosts and others.In addition,in this part,the author makes a simple comparison between the fictional characters in Han Fu and those in other literature of Han Dynasty,and summarizes their similarities and differences.The similarities between the two are mainly reflected in the elaboration of the characters’ appearance and costume description,the cross-appearance of the characters and the similar life consciousness expressed by these fictional characters.Their differences are embodied in the character characteristics and the differences of female identity and narrative differences.The second part of the paper mainly discusses two issues: the origin of fictional characters in Han Fu and the classification of fictional characters in Han Fu.There are two main sources of fictional characters in Han Fu: one is inherited from the literature of Pre-Qin Dynasty,generally,there are two ways of inheritance,direct inheritance and processing and recreation on the basis of inheritance;the other is the originality of Han Fu writers themselves.In the study of the classification of fictional characters in Han Fu,it is mainly divided into three major categories to carry out specific research,namely,the host and guest characters,goddess,beauty and gods,immortals and ghosts.In Han Fu,the host and guest objects are exported into chapters,with the Warring States Political Strategists’ legacy,while their image is very thin.The writers of Han Fu mainly use the characters of the host and guest to express their feelings,mainly political allegory,persuasion and expression of personal feelings.However,their intention to realize their political ideals by means of the characters of the host and guest is always frustrated,which is determined by the status of the writers of Han Fu.A large number of images of gods and immortals in Han Fu are related to the unique enthusiasm of seeking immortals,the respect of monarchs and the prosperity of prophecy.The most direct source of the images of goddesses and beauty in Han Fu is the goddess in Song Yu’s Gaotang Fu and Goddess Fu.The writers of Han Fu also completed their writing of goddesses and beauties according to the different images of goddesses in these two works.The third part of the thesis starts from the narrative point of view and analyses the role of fictional characters in the Han Fu.Their functions are to achieve the effect of elaborating and exaggerating and to promote the development of story plots by listing them.In addition,this part also analyses the influence of Han Fu on the narrative literature of later generations,which is mainly reflected in that it provides some prototypes of stories for later generations.In addition,the narrative characteristics of Han Fu,such as the description of the narrative,also had a certain impact on the narrative literature of later generations.
